October 30, 2012… In September, current members of the Fishing Hall of Fame of Minnesota voted in James Lindner as a 2011-2012 inductee. Lindner, a professional angler, communicator and fishing television producer - was selected for his excellence in the sport and his remarkable contributions to the sport fishing community.
Along with his father Ron and uncle Al, James Lindner was critical in the success of In-Fisherman magazine and television as well as Lindner Media Productions, where he currently leads production of the popular Angling Edge television series and numerous commercial fishing video projects. James Lindner is also a member of the Freshwater Fishing Hall of Fame as a Legendary Communicator.
An official Hall of Fame induction ceremony will take place in early 2013, with details available soon. Additional 2011-2012 inductees include Dan Sura, Dave Csanda, Jeff Arnold and corporate members Rapala and Outdoor News. All Hall of Famers will be featured on the organization’s new website (www.FishingHallOfFameMN.com). They will also be honored in a traveling Hall of Fame that’s in development and will visit sport shows, fairs, schools and other venues where the organization can help promote Minnesota fishing.
The Fishing Hall of Fame of Minnesota conducts nominations, elections and inductions annually. To qualify for nomination, a candidate must be over 50 years of age, a resident of Minnesota for at least 25 years, and must receive the recommendation of a current Hall of Fame member.
