Johnson Outdoors Appoints New President and CEO

RACINE, Wis. - December 13, 2004 - The Board of Directors of Johnson Outdoors Inc. (JOUT) has appointed Jervis B. Perkins as the company's president and chief operating officer, it reported in a recent statement.

   Perkins, 49, joined the company as chief operating officer in January 2003.

   "Jerry's elevation to president reflects the confidence that both the Board and I share in his abilities," noted Helen Johnson-Leipold, chairman and chief executive officer. "Jerry has made significant contributions to our business since he joined us and his promotion is well-deserved."

   Johnson Outdoors designs, manufactures and markets a portfolio of brands across four categories: Watercraft, Marine Electronics, Diving and Outdoor Equipment.
