KastKing Royale Legend Elite baitcasters are available in four colors matched to four specific gear ratios: white is 5.3:1, blue 6.6:1, black 7.3:1 and red is 8.1:1. Royale Legend Elite baitcaster reels were developed as the first in a series of tournament ready performance reels for bass fishing. The color coded ratios allows the quick selection of a gear ratio even in dim light conditions. It is KastKing's lowest profile baitcaster to date, developed for the palming technique often used by anglers. KastKing named this new design, "palm perfect."
Unique features of the palm-sized Royale Legend Elite are its smooth 'Swing Wing" side plate design with an "Ergo Twist" opening mechanism, which allows anglers to easily open the side plate with one hand. It does not use switches, levers, push buttons, or screws to undo the side plate. KastKing's Swing Wing keeps the side plate attached to the reel's body so it cannot fall into the water or get blown away in the wind. KastKing realized that time is money in competition fishing and added this feature on the Elite series.
Each Royale Legend Elite baitcaster, in every ratio, includes, 11 + 1 double shielded stainless steel ball bearings, carbon fiber triple disc drag to 17.6 lbs, heat-treated hardened aluminum main gear, brass components and brass manganese pinion gears and stainless steel mainshaft and kick lever that make it ready for saltwater use, and a 10-level adjustable magnetic brake.
