The reel is constructed using carbon fiber for the main frame, side plates, handle and star drag so the reel will function flawlessly in both fresh and saltwater conditions. This lightweight and extremely durable material keep the reel lightweight for all day fishing but strong enough for the toughest conditions. We use golf style handle grips for comfort and extra power in all weather conditions.
We use a total of 13, double shielded, stainless steel bearings for super smooth operation and consistent performance. The spool is CNC machined from aircraft aluminum and anodized for appearance and high performance.
We’ve developed a tournament ready Trilateral Magnetic braking system that uses a total of 9 magnets making it infinitely adjustable for any condition or size of bait without sacrificing casting distance.
The Speed Demon Pro casting reel also utilizes a unique, 2 pc split main shaft that gently cradles the spool on both ends with high speed, shielded bearings. This design increases casting distance and reduces gear noise over traditional 1pc main shafts that run through the center of the spool and apply drag to the spool.
The triple carbon disc drag system delivers 13.2 lbs/6kg of consistent and smooth drag energy. This super smooth drag system protects leaders and will handle powerful fish with ease.

- Stainless Steel Ball Bearings – The Speed Demon Pro reel uses a total of 13 (12+1) Stainless Steel bearings for extremely smooth and quiet operation even at extreme speeds. All bearings are double shielded and deliver effortless casts and smooth, fast retrieves. We’ve also designed a state-of-the-art, triple carbon disc drag delivering a consistently smooth, 13.2 lbs/6kg of fish stopping drag.
- Trilateral Magnetic Brake System – The Trilateral magnetic braking system has 9 total magnets and is infinitely adjustable for conditions and any size of bait. This braking system will virtually eliminate overruns and back lashes when properly adjusted and will not change settings until you change baits and decide to adjust the level of braking that is applied to the spool.
- High Speed Split Main Shaft -To reduce noise and increase casting distance and speed, we have utilized a unique split main shaft that gently cradles the spool from each side and supports the spool on high speed, shielded bearings. Traditional solid main shafts run all the way through the middle of the spool which increases weight and drag on the shaft which limits casting distance and often increases gear noise.
