“It was a tough day out there,” stated Harris. “We caught most of our fish on a swimming jig, and some on some soft plastics. We had seven keepers and culled two fish.”
Second place went to the tem of Mike Culberson and Jesse Gloaves who were a mere 0.07 ounces behind the winners with 9.51 pounds. Third place went to Stephen and Tracy Whitehead who weighed in 9.42 pounds. The Whitehead’s were also awarded an extra $200 cash incentive for today’s tournament as they were the highest finishing team with a female team member.
The tournament’s highest finishing team with a child 12 or under as a member was Tim Parker and Peyton Hutcherson. The team of Parker and Hutcherson claimed the $200 cash incentive for that category.
The team of Dave Rigsby and Richard Clemmons who brought a 5.87-pound bass to the scales took big bass of the day award.
Over $1,200 in cash was given to Homesafe Executive Director Sherry Tolli at the conclusion of today’s events. Tolli directs the efforts of Homesafe in the counties of Sumner, Wilson, and Robertson.
“This is so cool; we want to thank each and every one of you who participated. This is really going to mean a lot to our program and the women and children that we serve,” Tolli stated. Visit them on the World Wide Web at http://homesafetn.org/services/sumner-county
