COSTA MESA, Calif. (Nov. 11, 2005) - Lucky Craft today announced its launch of the new Live LVR, a live-action version of its popular LVR Series of lipless crankbaits.

The new Live LVR is 2 3/4 inches long and weighs 3/5 of an ounce. Depending upon line size, it will run approximately four to six-feet deep, placing it between the current LVR D-7 and D-10 Lucky Craft lipless crankbaits.

"The Live LVR has a slightly wider surface near the front, so it's going to provide a little more water displacement across the body, along with more vibration and rattle than the current LVR Series," said Marty Stone, the 2005 CITGO Bassmaster Angler of the Year runner up. "In this tight-action lipless crankbait family, the Live LVR's lifelike and flexible body will produce a slightly different look than anything else out there. It's going to be one of Lucky Craft's better vibrating lures."

Stone believes the Live LVR will be an effective search bait and will provide many applications throughout the year.

"This will be a great lure during the pre-spawn," Stone continued. "When fish are cruising around the lake's bottom or out in front of cover, you need a good search bait. I have found the best search bait in early spring is a lipless crankbait, especially when water temperatures are between 52 to 61 degrees (Fahrenheit). You can also use this lure during fall migration when water temps are starting to cool.

Stone talked about fishing the Live LVR and the equipment he recommends.

"When fishing the Live LVR, I use a 6:1 gear ratio reel and a seven-foot, medium action graphite rod," Stone noted. "I would throw this on 35- to 50-pound braided line especially around grass. I love throwing braid in grass because when the lure hangs up I can rip it out of there. Also, you can feel the fish bite a little better allowing the fish to have it a second longer, so when you set the hook, there's no stretch and your landing percentage increases."

This new Live LVR Series will be available exclusively from Cabela's, 1-800-237-4444 or http://www.cabelas.com/luckycraft.

The Live LVR will come in five bleeding hook-and-body colors, each offering a red spot under the body and two No. 4 red trebles. The rear hook comes standard as a feather treble.

The Live LVR will be available in the following colors:

Bleeding Aurora Black (Cabela's Exclusive)
