Tulsa, Okla. – GoFree – the provider of digital content and services, and part of the Navico family of marine electronics brands including Lowrance, Simrad and B&G – announced today the release of six updated mapping products for use in both inland and coastal U.S. waters. Greatly improved for 2016, Lake Insight® and Nautic Insight®cartography packages are each available in three versions: PRO, HD East and HD West.
GoFree’s Lake Insight Pro v16 is the most economical choice, now featuring an updated database of 9,000 lakes with depth contours, including 2,400 detailed charts with contours at 1- to 3-foot intervals for $99. Lake Insight HD v16 is available in East USA and West USA versions. Lake Insight HD provides a custom color palette feature, high-resolution shaded relief, and aerial imagery downloads available of select lakes. Offering coastal data for enhanced performance and accuracy on the water, GoFree’s Nautic Insight Pro v16, which covers the coastline of all the lower 48 states, Alaska, Hawaii and the Caribbean, features enhancements to shoreline detail. The maps contain improved bathymetric contour details, as well as updated NOAA Electronics Navigation Charts and Marine Protected Areas for $99. Nautic Insight HD remains split into East USA and West USA options and includes improved bathymetric and custom depth shading, updated Maptech and Fishing HotSpots® points-of-interest (POIs), and 20 more levels of shaded relief beyond standard Insight data preloaded on Lowrance, Simrad and B&G chartplotters. Nautic Insight HD also includes Lake Insight HD inland detail within 100 miles of the coast, for $129.
As an added mapping enhancement, all Lake and Nautic Insight HD v16 products include a code for a free Insight Genesis Premium subscription, valued at $99. Customers can make unlimited Insight Genesis™ maps from sonar logs or download contour maps from the Insight Genesis Social Map. Insight Genesis allows anglers and boaters to create custom contour, vegetation, and bottom hardness maps from sonar recordings with a compatible Lowrance, Simrad or B&G chartplotter, then share and/or combine those detailed charts through the Insight Genesis Social Map.
“For 2016, Lake Insight and Nautic Insight mapping remains the best value for anglers and boaters in the U.S.,” said Leif Ottosson, CEO, Navico. “These enhanced, exclusive features for Lowrance, B&G, as well as Simrad evo2 and GO chartplotters, along with the affordable price, make the v16 Insight charts a top choice for inland as well as coastal applications.”
Lake Insight and Nautic Insight charts can be purchased from major retailers across the U.S., or purchased and downloaded directly onto GoFree Shop-enabled displays or online from GoFreeShop.com. PRO version chart packages are priced at $99, while HD East and HD West are priced from $129-$159.
