Original Helios high-speed reels are so impressive because nothing was sacrificed to reach an incredibly light 6.3-ounces of total weight.  Helios Air is equally impressive, reaching 5.7-ounces with a no-nonsense approach to the featherweight category.  Simply, the frame and side plates of the Helios Air are constructed from magnesium; maintaining all the structural integrity as well as an ergonomic, full feel in the palm.   

Beyond the magnesium frame and side plates, Helios Air retains all of Helios’ key performance features, including:  all aluminum drive system, ABEC-5 spool bearings, Carbonite drag system with 14-pounds of maximum drag output, A6061-T6 machined aluminum spool and eight bearings plus one roller bearing.
