Springville, Alabama - With Randy Howell's second straight 14th place finish on the Bassmaster Elite Series and third consecutive top-20 he has now surpassed the $1 million earnings mark with BASS.  To date Howell has earned $1,002,327.00 with BASS in 206 events.

During his climb to the million mark Howell has amassed 24 top ten finishes and appeared in the Bassmaster Classic ten times.  He has one victory, one second place finish and one third place finish. His victory came in 2004 on Lake Dardanelle in Russellville, Arkansas. "BASS has been great to me. I enjoy the people who run it, the events themselves and especially the fans of the sport. I am very excited about the new leadership of BASS and I know the future in their hands is very bright. I couldn't ask for a better job and Robin and I feel blessed to be a part of the sport of fishing, I would like to also thank all of our partner sponsors along the way for making this a reality." Howell expressed.

Along with this milestone Howell's hot start to the 2012 season has cemented him as a contender in the Angler of the Year race for the 2012 Elite Series Season.  Howell sits in 2nd place behind his good friend Brent Chapman only 23 points behind the Kansas based Chapman. "Brent's a good friend and we work together quite a lot on tour, I know he's going to work hard at every tournament and it's going to take some great fishing to catch him. I will continue to work hard and leave it in the lord's hands to how that ends up. Brent and I seen to have the right formula and we'll stick to it all year and no matter how it ends up our friendship will not be effected," Howell stated.
