BOZEMAN, Mont. (July 16, 2015) – Simms is well known in the fishing world for protecting anglers in the harshest conditions.  Now, the company proudly introduces the next generation of its award-winning ProDry GORE-TEX Jacket & Bib.

“We strive to connect anglers to their best days on the water,” says Brandan Hill, Simms’ Sr. Director of Product.  “We know that often times, those best days are in the most challenging environments.  That’s why we created the new ProDry GORE-TEX Jacket & Bib—to allow anglers to be at the top of their game regardless of conditions.”

The ProDry GORE-TEX Jacket & Bib incorporate GORE-TEX Pro Shell that is 25% lighter and more breathable than the previous version of the ProDry.  Advanced features include 3-point Storm Hood with Cohaesive cord management, Dry Cuff sleeve closure, venting collar to reduce fog, full-length coated leg zipper, articulated shoulder pattern for ease of motion, and generous storage pockets with tool integration.

The new ProDry GORE-TEX Jacket and Bib were tested and developed by professional bass anglers including Shaw Grigsby and Gary Klein as well as numerous professional fly fishing guides.  Most notably, Simms Pro Bass Team member Casey Ashley won the 2015 Bassmaster Classic while wearing the ProDry Jacket & Bib in the coldest Bassmaster Classic ever.

“For our entire team, it has always been about building the best and most effective products designed specifically for anglers.  The new ProDry GORE-TEX Jacket & Bib reflect Simms commitment to be the highest quality manufacturer of fishing outerwear in the world” says K.C. Walsh, Simms’ President. “We have been working on this jacket and bib since 2010, and we believe we have created the ultimate fishing jacket and bib for all fishing conditions.”

The new ProDry GORE-TEX Jacket & Bib is being unveiled at the 2015 ICAST/IFTD Show (Booth #659) in Orlando, Fla.
