Murfreesboro, Tennessee, United States - Tracker Marine will permanently close its Murfreesboro facility over the next two months, a decision that will result in the layoff of 94 workers, according to a Monday, March 24 report of the Nashville Business Journal.

This news comes only a few months after Tracker Marine started production at its new Miami, Oklahoma plant.

Tracker, which produces the Sun Tracker, Nitro Boats and Tahoe Boats brands, has eliminated about 70 positions since last December, reported the newspaper.

The company plans to stagger the layoffs every one or two weeks between now and the closing at the end of May, the newspaper stated.
