Starting from the first bass caught from a borrowed Jon boat to the nostalgic memories of flipping through the pages of the inaugural Bass Pro Shops catalog, the love for bass tackle was deeply ingrained. The pursuit of that 'something special' led to hours spent in tackle shops and scanning major websites, searching for baits that stood out on the water.
Described as the "bait monkey" by online angler communities such as BassResource.com, this pursuit, often deemed an obsession, inspired the idea of a platform dedicated to custom tackle. Despite initial doubts about the feasibility of such an endeavor, the vision persisted. The idea of a website featuring products exclusively from custom makers, each with a unique story and years of fishing experience infused into their craft, became the catalyst for Vantage Tackle.
