Lake Seminole will once again host the Women's Bass Fishing Association's Spring Fling professional bass tournament from February 9 through 14. The weeklong event will include dinners hosted by Wingate's Lunker Lodge, a Fellowship of Christian Anglers meeting, practice days, and two intense days of competition.

The ladies will start gathering at the Recovery Volunteer Fire Department on Sunday, February 9 for registration followed by a FOCAS meeting. The first day of official practice will start on Monday, February 10 at 7:00am EST.

Jack Wingate, Freshwater Fishing Hall of Famer and PR host predicts the ladies will bring some heavy stringers to the weigh-in scales. He said, "For the past month, it has taken 5 bass over the 20 pound mark to place in one of the top three positions in tournaments. The bass are in a pre-spawn pattern and some big fish are being caught."

The ladies will be fishing in two categories, professional and amateur. The pros will be fishing for a fully rigged Triton bass boat loaded with a Mercury outboard. It will be equipped with a Minn Kota trolling motor, Deka batteries, and Hummingbird electronics.

Thursday morning, the ladies will start the official competition at safe daylight at Wingate's Lunker Lodge. As at all WBFA events, the launch will include a salute to veterans complete with a fireworks display. Weigh-in will start at 3:00pm.

Friday will be the final day of the tournament. It will also start at safe daylight. Final weigh-in will begin at 3:00pm. There will be an awards ceremony following the final weigh-in and one of the pros will be presented the keys to the new bass boat.

Triton, Hummingbird, Mercury Marine, Gary Yamamoto Custom baits, Edilon Bait Company, Dekka Marine Batteries, and Flow-Master Exhaust Systems sponsor the WBFA.
