BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – King’s Home and the family of Professional Angler Randy Howell are giving away Howell’s 2011 Bassmaster Elite season boat. The Triton 21HP powered by a Mercury 250 Pro XS will be awarded to one lucky person at Kampfire for The King, a special King’s Home event in Chelsea, Ala. near Birmingham, on December 4, 2011.

For over 30 years, King’s Home has helped families at risk from all over the United States. Formerly known as the King's Ranch and Hannah Homes, King’s Home provides hope, caring and loving homes for hundreds of abused, neglected, abandoned and homeless children and teens. With four campuses in Alabama, King’s Home also offers refuge and healing for women, moms and children escaping domestic violence.

Each tax-deductible $100 donation to King's Home earns one entry into the boat drawing. "For someone to win my $67,000 boat package would be fantastic for them, but the amazing part is what that $100 donation will do for the many women, children and mothers in dire need," explains Howell, who recalls his first visit to King's Home several years ago. “I thought it would be great to teach the kids to fish and share some stories with them,” he says. “When I left I realized they did more for me than I did for them.”

“It's an unbelievable place,” he continues. “My wife Robin and I are blessed to work with them to help raise the money they need to positively change so many lives. I wish everyone could visit King's Home. It would be difficult for anyone to see what the great people of King's Home are doing and not donate $100. Theboat is just a bonus to someone who does a great thing for women and children at King's Home."

Howell and King’s Home will give away the boat at Kampfire for The King, a special Christmas celebration and fundraising event set for Sunday, December 4, 2011 at the King’s Home main campus in Chelsea, Ala. While the buyer of the chosen entry need not be present to win, Howell and King’s Home encourage entrants to attend Kampfire for The King to show their support for the youth, women, moms and children being helped by their donations.
