Glenn May

Glenn May

Glenn May has fished for bass since he was three years old. Weekly trips to waters across Washington state with his dad, mother, and sister instilled the love of fishing as a family activity. Glenn continued to evolve his skills, eventually leading to bass tournaments. And for the next three decades, he competed in local, state, and regional events on lakes, rivers, reservoirs, and tidal water from Washington state to Texas.

May’s college degree in media technology – specializing in electronic communications – paid off, as the Web was in its infancy when he graduated. Glenn created BassResource.com from scratch and built it into the world's most popular bass fishing site. That sent him on a career exclusively in the online space for nearly 30 years.

Early on, Glenn caught the attention of industry leaders and legends such as Bill Dance and Hank Parker, even starring on the Hank Parker TV show. He has also starred in the long-running TV show Lunkerville. He also has written numerous articles about bass fishing and created hundreds of instructional videos teaching millions of viewers advanced bass fishing techniques and tactics. He has been a credentialed member of the media at the Bassmaster Classic and ICAST since 2006.

He still relentlessly chases bass every chance he gets. His enthusiasm for the sport is never-ending, whether fishing his home waters, an exotic new frontier, or sharing his expertise with a fellow angler.
