Glenn: Hey, folks. Glenn May here with BassResource.com. I'm here at the 2015 ICAST show here in the Enigma Fishing Booth. Here with the owner, Jesse, showing some brand new stuff that's coming out. Jesse, what do you have for us?

Jesse: Well guys, some of you have heard we got the Aaron's Edge series that came out this year. Most of the bigger retailers online Tackle Warehouse, Monster Fish and Tackle, Sportsmen Outfitters they're in a ton of stores up and down the East Coast, but we're still working obviously territory. We've only had the rod since May so, as it grows, you guys will be looking for them in stores, or you can go to enigmafishing.com and take a look there. We introduced Aaron Martin's line this year and Aaron personally, literally, when I mean personally I mean personally, has handcrafted every one of these rods. I had little to zero input other than where that rod keeper went. Other than that, the tapers, the handle links, the guide placements, all that stuff that's all Aaron. Everybody knows Aaron's very particular about what he does and rightly so.

The guys been on the water for 20 years 250 days a years and there's hardly anybody better than that boy. When he speaks, I listen and this is what we came up with. We have 16 total in the rod. We're actually introducing another one later in the year, which is going to be a jerk bait rod for 2016. It's a little six-eight rod Aaron wanted specifically for that. Then I got one of my personal that I'm introducing which is a bait caster drop shot rod. I'm anti-spinning, believe it or not. But this rod line features 16 rods, 3 spinning rods, anything from a 3 to an 8 pound. You know Aaron loves to throw that three pound line. We got a three to eight pound, it's six foot seven for that video game fishing. We got a 6’ 10” drop shot, which is for all around drop shots. We got a 6’ 11”, which is our number one selling rod. Even Aaron says that's the number one rod he uses. It's a little heavier rod. It's meant specifically for shaky heads or some of the northern lakes like Lake Erie where you got a little heavier current or deeper water. You've got to use that three quarter ounce half ounce drop shot, that's the rod for you.

Then we go, of course, from the standard seven foot medium all around all the way up to the 7’ 6”, what we call, The Florida Cracker, which is a one to three ounce flipping stick. It's the one he used to win the Havasu Championship. And they all feature every one of our rods features, the Microwave guides. The three color wraps all the way up. Nice gray blank, no black, man. Everybody's rods are black. I'm tired of looking at them. All custom design handles of course.

Our rod keeper, they have a purpose. All the rods that Aaron and I, if you fish tournaments guys you understand and even if you don't, you don't want your rod marred up by your lure. You go out and you spend $150, $200 on a rod, you go out and what's the first thing that happens? You hook your lure here and the next thing you know it's all marred and faded out. Well, all our rods come with a rod keeper for free. Once you register your rod then our rod keepers down here. Whatever lure, jig, or weight you're using is resting actually on the foam handle, which protects the rod. That way you can cover the reel, you can cover your lure, and you've covered the rod and in the box or in your garage it goes, and you don't have worry about it. Plus, it doesn't get in your way when you’re casting. I think that everybody knows that. Again, an awesome product. Aaron really put in a lot of effort. Here's our green stick. Guys, this thing is my personal favorite if you can believe this or not, it came off of my shoes.

Glenn: Are you kidding me?

Jesse: No, I walked into one of the sporting good stores with my wife one day. I think we were last year up towards Michigan and I said, "You know, everything is so beautiful in here." You look at the clothing, the golf section, the kids, the sporting all fluorescent. It's really nice, really pretty and you look off in that distance and you see a dark dingy hunting and fishing section. It scares you. I thought, "We need some life there." And I designed this green rod. It's got chartreuse wraps with silver and black. Beautiful, it's been a big hit at the show I got to tell you, it literally stops everybody in their tracks. Of course, it's got all titanium components. We incorporated the same handle links that Aaron has recommended. Some different actions on this. We got some 7’ 2” spinning rods, good for tubes, a little heavier open water type of fishing. If you're throwing a fluke or something to that nature but these are going to retail $269 and Aaron's are $169.

Again, we have a $99 version of this in green without all that titanium. It's got pretty much the same basic component as Aaron. It just doesn't have all the three color wraps, which are very tedious and expensive to do but another quality product, man. I'm excited for 16. It's been a phenomenal 15.

Glenn: Yeah, these are awesome, awesome rods. There's been a lot of buzz around them, a lot of talk. I'm really happy to finally see these and get to hold them. I know some of you guys are jealous that are watching this, but I think I'm going to take this one myself. Anyway, check these out guys. You're going to love these rods.
