Hello, everyone Shin Fukae here. Today I want to show you how to use Free Rig at the fall season. The fall season, the bass start chasing the shad instead of the crawfish because of the fall season, the water temperature getting down, especially the grass area going down so we can fish, there's so much space for the fish. But this one right here, Free Rig is...it's kind of between a leader-less drop shot and Carolina rigs, that means you can fish real close...you can fish close to the structure, and cover a lot of water.

But you've got to use a special sinker for the Free Rig, it's really, really different. The Free Rig needs to...that smooth, smooth movement, because that weight is going a little faster...I mean straight down it needs to, so you've got to use the special weight. This is what I'm using, the Fish Arrow Free Rig sinker 3/8 weight, but this one is going down really, really...whoa, it's straight down, just like that. So, this one looks like slow fishing, but I will say this one is really, really fast because the weight is going thump, going straight, then natural action after that.

Then the Free Rig is...we can use one size smaller weight compared to Texas rig all the time. When I'm using the Texas rig in 3/8, we can use 1/4, yeah, for the Free Rig. Yeah, I'm using the 14...basically 14-pound, 15-pound a lot, then when I fish the open water, I'm using a 12 sometimes, yeah. But it depends on how big the fish, and then where I fish, and then... Yeah, when I go to Florida, I put on a 20 to 25-pound fluorocarbon, yeah. But when you're using the longer leader, you know, I'm using the 20-foot leader on it, on my spinning, yes. It's super long, yeah. Why? Because during a tournament I always set the hook so hard that lead is kind of shock leader. The braided line no stretch, right? If I make a shorter leader, it sometimes breaks, yeah. But...yeah. Yep. Then when I've got the scratching on my line, I just cut it, then retie it. It's super easy during a tournament. Then after the tournament, still I have a 15-foot leader, so...save more time, and catch more fish.

And so, yeah, especially the fall season, you've got to fish the shallow water and deep water, both with one bait. So it's super, super easy, and quick and easy, and lot of cover the water.

So if you want to catch more fish, just try the Free Rig at the fall season. That's a nice largemouth on the Free Rig. He's choking my Yamamoto D-Shad with a Fish Arrow Free Rig weight, with a Gamakatsu Hybrid, 4/0 hooks catch him. Pretty good largemouth. It's fun! Easy! Thank you.
