Glenn May: Hey folks. Glenn May here with BassResource.com. I'm here at the 2015 ICAST Show, here in the Okuma booth with John Bretza. He's got some new stuff to show us. John, what do you got here?
John Bretza: Well, what we have here, this is a new Calera A generation. So we've updated last year's model, one to a nice cosmetic. You'll see it's nice gun smoke and black cosmetic, so it can really match on any rod out there in the market. A lot of the cosmetics you see really, when they have real bright colors, it's difficult to match on different models out there. But what we've done is we've got a couple ball bearings in there. It's a seven plus one so you get eight bearings, with that instant anti-reverse so you get a nice hook set. It's a graphite body, graphite side plate, and what's nice is you don't have to open the side plate to adjust the cast control. You've got an external adjustable magnetic cast control with a 24-point adjustment with that micro-click setting. You got the nice thumb bar, which is very easy to depress with a machined aluminum, black anodized spool, drop-down gearbox with nice machine-cut brass gears, and what's best of all, we've upgraded the reel, as I said, with eight bearings. So we've added in about three to four more bearings than last year's and dropped the price to $74.99. So we had a $5 decrease but with an upgrade with a nice thin-side plate and an external cast control and that extra couple bearings.
Glenn: Nice. That's sweet. So where could I find this?

What's nice about this reel is that, like all reels, it comes in right-hand retrieve and it's 6.6:1 gear ratio, as well as a 7.3:1 gear ratio. But then we also offer left-hand version in a 6.6:1 gear ratio. So we have three different models within the Calera.
Glenn: The lefties are gonna be happy.
John: Can't always make them happy, but this time we got one for them.
Glenn: Now when is this going to be available?
John: This is going to be available next month.
Glenn: Next month means September?
John: Yep.
