Glenn May: Hey folks, Glenn May here with BassResource.com. I'm at the 2015 ICAST. I'm here at the Seaguar booth and Chris Zaldain. A new announcement here, this is a new line. Chris, tell me what you got here.

Chris Zaldain: I'll tell you what, Glenn. Seaguar has dedicated their R and D to delivering the utmost, best line out there. I'll tell you what, they teamed up with Denny Brauer, the best flipper, the best bass flipper and pitcher there ever was. So they teamed up and created the first ever technique-specific fishing line, and we're calling that Flippin' Line, Seaguar Flippin' Line. It comes in both fluorocarbon and braided line.

When you think of flipping and the characteristics of the line that you're using when you're flipping, you're thinking strength, durability, knot strength, and zero stretch, and that's what this offers. So on the fluorocarbon side, we've got the 20, 25, and 30 pound tests. Absolutely perfect. Whenever you're flipping lay-down, wood, rock, anything hard-cover in clear water situations when you don't want the fish to see that line, the Flipping fluorocarbon prevails. Then moving over to the braid side, whenever you're flipping lily pads, any type of vegetation, hydrilla, or my favorite mats, those lines there, that's the braid. It comes in 50 and 65, and the really cool thing about the braid is it comes in black. For years and years we've been carrying magic markers around in our boats and slitting the tops of them and coloring our line black so the fish can't see it. So it comes in black, you don't have to do that. It's just an awesome line for Flippin'.

Glenn: Now help me understand this now, Seaguar already has Kanzen braid line, they already got SmackDown braided line, why Flippin'?

Chris: Well, here's the thing. With the Kanzen line . . . I love using Kanzen line when I'm making real long casts, when I'm throwing a frog, I'm throwing top water, whenever I'm making real long casts, that line is awesome. I'll have in 40 and 50 pound tests. Then you go over to the SmackDown. The SmackDown is an eight-weave braid, it's soft, it's smooth, excellent for flipping or on spinning rods, which is my favorite, in a 20 or 30 pound test. Great, great, great, on spinning rods, zero line twist, stuff like that. But when we're talking about Flippin', again, having that line black, it's a true eight-strand braid. Just like the SmackDown, it's real smooth through your guides.

The other thing you got to think about is stealthiness. When you're pitching that Flippin' line, over limb or through the grass, it's real quiet and smooth. It's not real gritty like other braids out there. It's not gritty, it doesn't make a lot of noise, so it's real smooth. Just a real nice transition when you're pitching into that vegetation.

Glenn: So how much are these retailing for?

Chris: They haven't mentioned yet, but they're very competitive with the rest of them. The biggest thing is they come in 100-yard spools. To me, that's two spools right there. Braided line, it lasts from January all the way to December. All five of the lines here from the 20 to the 30 pound, it all comes in 100-yard spools.

Glenn: When will these become available?

Chris: They're available starting this fall. We're excited. I haven't even fished them yet and I'm excited to throw them. So October, November, you'll start to see these on the shelves.

Glenn: Fantastic. Look for it soon, guys. This is a brand new concept, technique-specific fishing line. Check it out.
