Hey, BassResource fans, I'm Skeet Reese. We're at the 2013 ICAST show in Las Vegas. We're showing you all the latest and greatest in products. Stuff to help you catch more fish, spend more money, and have more fun on the water. Ha! I love it.
Hey, baitcasters, a lot of you know I've got a baitcaster reel and spinning reel line out there. But, how many of you got that low profile, little, narrow baitcast reel, and you spool it up for a 25 pound test, and you try and throw that umbrella rig out there, or a big swim bait, and all of the sudden, [makes noise] and you get down, and there's no line left, and you're like, "Uh-oh." Yeah. Fine with the little line, but when you need to make a long cast with big diameter line, you need large spool capacity.
I came out with a new wide body series, Victory Skeet Reese Signature Series, obviously black and yellow, and it's beautiful, beautiful. So, wide body, spooling up a 25 pound fluorocarbon, whatever you want, 65 pound Spider Wire for throwing umbrella rigs forever, big giant swim baits.
Now, I've got the spool capacity, because there's nothing worse than making a long cast, and you got that, just like, three turns of the reel lever, and line on there like [makes noise]. See? Now, it's not going to do that. You're going to make a long cast, you're going to have plenty of line. That's a good thing.
High speed, 6:21 gear ratio, so you can still be in a fish, and get the bait back to the boat faster. I got a left-handed reel. It doesn't feel right. I'm right handed, but this is what they hand me.
So, hey, anyways, wide body Victory Skeet Reese Baitcaster Reel, that's what's new in my line this year, but something that's going to set up well for, if you like Carolina rig, on a heavy line, you got it covered here. Swim baits, umbrella rigs, like I said, now we've got you covered.
