I got the opportunity to try the White Bird Fishing Rod from Favorite Fishing. This is a very eye-catching rod that stands out in a sea of black rods. It’s a nice slim white blank with a solid tip.

The 6-foot, 6-inch Medium Heavy power rod has a Fast Action tip – an all-purpose rod suited for a variety of fishing lures.  A rod like this should be everyone’s rod locker due to its versatility.

It handles 10- to 17-pound line weight and ¼- to ¾-oz. lure weights.  It’s made from IM24T Carbon with SiC Guides – solid components that’s surprising to see on a rod that only costs $49.99.

I fished a small, light jig with it, some tube baits, and small spinnerbaits. It’s a sensitive rod with enough backbone to haul in a heavy bass from weeds and grass. The shorter length allows for pinpoint, accurate casting.

This rod is well balanced and is easy to cast.  The solid rod tip is sensitive and flexible. This makes it so you can feel strikes and lure action. The light-weight design makes it easy to use all day long.

The grip is comfortable and gives you direct contact with the rod blank for extra sensitivity. It sports a rear cork grip, but lacks a foregrip. I’m not a fan of the exposed threads on the reel seat, but at $49.99, it’s a minor cosmetic thing that may not bother you.

This rod is tough to beat – especially at $49.99. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a good rod at a great price for fun fishing or tournament fishing.
